Day 26: Where the Light Falls, I Find Myself
This weekend, I walked alone with my Phone and no particular plan.
Ten pictures later, I realized: I had found more than light.
I had found stillness, strength, and a quiet kind of poetry.
☀ Photos 1–3
Walking in the Light
It was sunset, and a few of our local residents were heading home—
their steps relaxed, their shadows stretching behind them,
the sunlight gently pouring over their backs.
I stood behind them and took the shot.
Not for the drama—there was none—
but for the honesty of that moment:
“Another day done, still walking forward.”
Sometimes light doesn’t say anything,
it just places a golden armor on the tired.

The Faces of Baobab Trees
The baobab trees stood tall like ancient guardians of this land.
I’ve seen them a hundred times, but today I saw their posture.
Some leaned forward, some stretched upward, some twisted like they were listening.
Each had a presence—
not loud, but undeniably there.
Like people who don’t speak much, but somehow fill the room anyway.
🏀 Photos 9–10
Geometry in the Sky
From the villa balcony, I looked down at a basketball court—
steel beams, sunset rays, and architectural lines in dialogue.
It wasn’t just a structure.
It was emotion drawn in geometry.
Where lines meet shadows and sky,
that’s where I saw rhythm without music.
🧭 And Then This Thought Hit Me: Be Brave at Heart
Lately, many friends of mine are out in the world—
diving with marine life in Madagascar, chasing the great migration in Tanzania.
They’re exploring the raw, the wild, the infinite.
And even though I’m not with them, I feel lucky to be part of their orbit.
We’re not all on the same path,
but we’re all walking toward wonder.
So here’s what I’ve come to believe:
Be brave at heart.
You don’t need to wait for someone else to come with you.
You are the main character of your own story.
Don’t pause.
Don’t hesitate.
Because you will never again be quite as young,
as curious,
or as bold
as you are today.
Don’t wait for the wind. You are the wind.
Cheers!
