This article leaves a lot unexplained. Bitcoin being adopted as legal tender is certainly an event waiting to happen that could catapult cryptocurrency to another level but in the case of Iran are we talking about simply a method for corrupt elite to hide ill gotten gains or a truly fair and open medium of exchange? It would seem to me that a bitcoin based economy in Iran might empower the population more than the current regime would like. Nevertheless this is something to keep an eye because whether it’s Iran or anywhere else BTC as legal tender is a major step in the evolution of society.
