The ship approached the anomaly. The sun shown down on it's peculiar form. The last of it's kind. An ancient being frozen in time.
This is a piece from a previous series that I did a while back. I remember hating how it turned out but now that I've had some time away from it, I forgot why I didn't like it. This piece is part of a story about a Martian colonist who was banished from mars. The Martian tribunal found him guilty of his crimes. He was provided with two options. He could return to earth and die with the condemned planet, or he could dedicate himself to science and venture into the unknown, testing new technologies for the Martian government. He chose the unknown and was shot through a worm hole to probe another dimension.
