A few shots that I wanted to make creepy by playing with lights, shadows, saturation and colors.
It is not said that the creepiness is given only by the dark, even an overexposure or a desaturation of colors can instill terror.
Let's see some examples.
First of all, we can play with the geometry, a rotating line as the electric power pole on the left of the photo can introduce in the shot an irregular position that create tension.
Almost total desaturation, a overexposed sky, something completely still, ready to tell you about a very bad story.
The natural fog in these two shots and the overexposed sky is something very creepy, far from the human word.
As you can see i used some warm tonality close to the subject to give more deepness and mistery to the background.
A dark forest is one of the worst nightmares backroud we have but.. This overexposed and totally desaturated woods gives a very scary scenario.
In the second photo i added some shadows in the plants on the left to increase the contrast with the light of the sky.
This road is something very far to the human word, something like a purgatory road.
Other shots where the fog covers almost completely the background, the mountains in the horizon are enphatized on cold tonalities that are in contrast with the colours in the vicinity.
Another shot of the forest, in this one i maintained the real colour of the sky and i added some shadows to give more feeling of deepness.
This shot has nothing scary but i wanted to show you the entrance of the park where i've been.
This shot is taken only to show the autumn colour of this tree, the contrast with the totally desaturated environment is a little creepy.
This is the final shots, this rock is spectacular, from the left a warm light come to save us from the darkness, the warm light is in contrast with the dark - cold background of the rock.
Photos taken by me for #PhotographyLovers community on #Hive, in Rocca delle Camminate a little italian city.
I toke these photos using my camera phone Mi 10 lite 5G.
