I have had a few comments showing interest in tutorials about my Photoshop work. I would LOVE to do that, but I have been struggling with software issues. While I am competent in Photoshop a lot of other computer tech stuff still eludes me. My brother came over for a bit this afternoon and helped me get set up a bit better and fix a few problems.
So I sat down tonight to record my first tutorial, and while it is simple and in my opinion boring as heck at least it is a start!
I find that I learn new software best by getting to work and using it so this process was kind of more selfish as I am trying to teach myself more than anything. Sorry not sorry!
I used the header image as inspiration for my tutorial which demonstrates how i created this background before compositing myself in.
One of the issues I was having with my screen capture is that it was not recording my adjustment/layers panels. I found a fix for that by pinning them to the side, usually I just have them float around my work space. Some how having them pinned makes them visible. However, this is not true for the drop down menus, and also the window in which I selected my files from for some reason those are still not visible in the recording. I am unsure if I will find a fix, or if I will again have to change software.
Hopefully I get the hang of things soon and am up an running with video. Whoop! That would be awesome!
