MOUNTAIN 🏔️ HIKING IN BOLIVIA
This is a special picture for me. It is one of the few pictures I have left from my stay in South America in 2010.
I had a lot of new experiences. The excuse behind this picture is. After my stay in El Alto (La Paz), where I lived for weeks at an altitude of about 5000m, I needed a change. From talking to people in town, I heard that there was a good party going on in a village lower in the mountains. I was hoping for a good Tecno or Reggae party. When I got there, all I saw were young girls dancing and walking around dressed in leaves. I went further into the mountains and found this wonderful place to sit. I made fire 🔥 and prepared my tent for the night. Suddenly an old man appeared behind me with his little dog. He sat down by the fire and asked me if I wanted to stay to discuss. His wife had just died and he still had room. I will never forget these moments here in the mountains. The old man had only been living with electricity for a short time and everything he needed to live he had on his farm or he traded it for other things with distant neighbors.
I took many photos during that time, but unfortunately only one or two remain. I have to say, I always made an effort to leave the pictures in print. So my pictures aren't really gone, just scattered among the people I met on my travels.
