The purposes of operating accounts in 
A minnow whose intent is absolutely on making money, without consistently producing quality posts and engagement will definitely be discouraged by receding value of Steem.
On the contrary, if an account is focused on interactions and socializing as it's focal point , it wouldn't be discouraged by dwindling Steem value.
Nevertheless, it will be beneficial if the value of Steem could be worth the while of time invested in Steem as Hobbies don't pay bills!
Therefore, be persistent, create quality content, keep engaging, even as you may invest in Steemit. There after, there wouldn't be a need for this question as Steem would be generously valued!!
