Hi friends, I didn't think that this week I could bring you some new walk, but fortunately, or will it be unfortunately? 馃槄 I had some problems with transportation to get back home after an intense morning of work and I had to make other plans and take another route to be able to leave. Let me tell you the details.
As you may or may not know, I work at the University of Pinar del Rio in the pedagogical campus, which is located in El Calero, an area on the outskirts of the city that is characterized by abundant vegetation, a great variety of trees and also because in this area most of the houses are buildings of up to five floors. To get here I have to take a horse-drawn carriage, as these are always available, unlike the buses that take too long due to the difficult situation in the country with the issue of transportation.
Well, at the time of leaving the university there are usually always several horse carriages waiting to leave for the city, but many times around noon they are not there, maybe because at that time the sun is too intense for the poor horses that are tired from so much work and then I have to wait. But it makes me desperate to be there so long waiting without anything happening so I thought about going to the bus stop because there are more possibilities with transportation, since buses, trucks, tricycles and even the same horse carriages pass by. Although I had to think twice because the sun was very intense, but in the end I understood that it was my best option to get home. Besides, it was a great excuse to bring you this walk and show you a little bit of this area of Calero.
We started the walk, which is not that long and is in a straight line until we reached the central road where the bus stop is. The university is quite large and covers a whole block. In front there are several nicely painted buildings and some beautiful trees.
This tree in front of the yellow building enchanted me with its different shades of green and its large size.
Here we see a palm tree that caught my attention because its tufts reach almost to the ground and also the only trees I saw along the way with the characteristics of this autumn season, one with its leaves turning orange and the other without leaves completely.
A little further on I saw this beautiful garden in one of the few bi-plants there are, because as I told you, what is more abundant are the buildings and then the road is interrupted because it is being repaired.
At this point I think we are half way, we continue to delight our eyes with these beautiful landscapes, a perfect combination of nature and civilization, more buildings and more trees, the green color predominates in these surroundings.
And here many banana trees.
I liked seeing all this brush moving in the wind, it's usually not as high as it is now.

Finally we reach the road and as we turn left we can see the bus stop. Arriving there was a horse carriage, but it was already completely full, bad luck for me. I stayed a few minutes waiting to see what happened and finally I could go on a tricycle, which of all my transportation options is the most expensive, but the important thing was to get to the city.

While I was waiting I took several pictures of what was on the other side of the street. There you can see several pine trees, the other stop and a high school further back. And so much for this week's walk, I hope you liked it, see you 馃.

Hola amigos, no pens茅 que esta semana pudiera traerles alg煤n nuevo paseo, pero afortunadamente, 驴o ser谩 desafortunadamente? 馃槄 tuve algunos problemas con el transporte para regresar a casa despu茅s de una intensa ma帽ana de trabajo y tuve que hacer otros planes y tomar otra ruta para poder irme. A continuaci贸n les cuento los detalles.
Como sabr谩n, o tal vez no, trabajo en la universidad de Pinar del R铆o en la sede pedag贸gica, que se encuentra en el Calero, una zona a las afueras de la ciudad que se caracteriza por poseer abundante vegetaci贸n, mucha variedad de 谩rboles y tambi茅n porque en esta zona la mayor铆a de las viviendas son edificios de hasta cinco pisos. Para llegar hasta aqu铆 debo tomar un coche de caballo, pues estos siempre est谩n disponibles, al contrario de las guaguas que se demoran demasiado debido a la situaci贸n dif铆cil que se vive en el pa铆s con el tema del transporte.
Bueno, a la hora de salir de la universidad normalmente siempre hay varios coches de caballos esperando para salir para la ciudad, pero muchas veces cerca del mediod铆a no est谩n all铆, tal vez porque a esa hora el sol est谩 muy intenso para los pobres caballos que est谩n cansados de tanto trabajar y entonces me toca esperar. Pero a m铆 me desespera estar ah铆 tanto tiempo esperando sin que pase nada as铆 que pens茅 en ir hasta la parada de la guagua porque ah铆 hay m谩s posibilidades con el transporte, ya que pasan guaguas, camiones, triciclos y hasta los mismos coches de caballo. Aunque lo tuve que pensar dos veces pues el sol estaba bien intenso, pero al final entend铆 que era mi mejor opci贸n para poder llegar a casa. Adem谩s era una buen铆sima excusa para traerles este paseo y mostrarles un poco esta zona del Calero.
Empezamos el recorrido, que no es tan largo y es en l铆nea recta hasta llegar a la carretera central donde est谩 la parada. La universidad es bastante grande y abarca toda una cuadra. En frente hay varios edificios muy bien pintados y unos 谩rboles hermosos.
Este 谩rbol frente al edificio amarillo me encant贸 con sus diferentes tonalidades de verde y su gran tama帽o.
Aqu铆 vemos un palma que me llam贸 la atenci贸n pues sus penachos llegan casi hasta el piso y los 煤nicos 谩rboles que v铆 en todo el camino con las caracter铆sticas de esta 茅poca de oto帽o, uno con sus hojas torn谩ndose color naranja y el otro sin hojas completamente.
Un poco m谩s adelante v铆 este bello jard铆n en uno de los pocos biplantas que hay, pues como les dije, lo que m谩s abundan son los edificios y luego la carretera est谩 interrumpida ya que la est谩n arreglando.
En este punto creo que vamos por la mitad del camino, seguimos deleit谩ndonos la vista con estos bonitos paisajes, una combinaci贸n perfecta de naturaleza y civilizaci贸n, m谩s edificios y m谩s 谩rboles, el color verde predomina por estos alrededores.
Y aqu铆 muchos 谩rboles de pl谩tano.
Me gust贸 ver toda esta maleza movi茅ndose con el viento, normalmente no est谩 tan alta como ahora.
A unos pasos de la carretera miren este 谩rbol tan lindo.
Finalmente llegamos a la carretera y al doblar izquierda podemos ver la parada. Llegando hab铆a un coche de caballo, pero ya estaba completamente lleno, mala suerte para m铆. Me qued茅 unos minutos esperando a ver qu茅 pasaba y finalmente me pude ir en un triciclo, que de todas mis opciones de transporte es el m谩s caro, pero lo importante era llegar a la ciudad.
