In India, a woman plays multiple roles and does multitasks. Women's life in India is really very challenging and adventurous and that makes them stronger and more stronger with time.
And the life of married women is hardest of all. So here is a fiction based on Indian married woman.
Geeta is very cultured and beautiful woman. She has recently married and shifted to her husband's house. She has left her own home and family to take care of her new family. She has to do nothing for 15 days after marriage as per the rituals.
But now those days were over. Everybody's expectations are on apex. She wakes up at 5 am and do her daily routine. Now she reaches to kitchen at 7 am and makes tea for the whole family and green tea for her husband. As she completes this task, she goes to her bedroom with green tea for her husband and wakes him up. He hugs her and pull her in bed.
She smiles but understanding her responsibility she asks him to leave her as she has to make breakfast for everyone.
At first he annoyed but then said..ok but will not leave you next time.
As they giggled... Mother in law calls her...Bahu ..have you prepared the breakfast..your father in law will leave for work in 15 minutes.
Geeta runs towards kitchen. Since she has already done preparations...she makes breakfast and serves at dinning table. Each and every member of family is now set on dinning table. There were 10 family members as they have joint family.
Father in law and mother in law, two brother in laws and their wives and both have 1 child and Geeta n her husband.
Geeta feels that this moment is the right time! And slowly speaks to Mother in law...Maa I also want to do job.
And the whole house was like freezed for a second.
What? Father in law shouts... why do you need to work. We are here for what?
And he leaves house in angry mood.
Every men of house left for work. Now women of house gathers around Geeta and tries to expain that in our house girls are not allowed to work outside. We spend our whole life serving our husband and taking care of our life.
Geeta cries for an hour but finally wipes out her eyes and goes to kitchen. All three bahu makes lunch together and since today was Geeta's first day in kitchen, special dishes are prepared for shagun.
Everybody again comes home and have their lunches. Men back to offices and women and children spend their time together by doing cleaning and other household work or helping children doing their homework. And Geeta is sitting alone and thinking that how to convince everyone.
At evening, after having dinner Geeta talks to het husband about her doing work outside. Though he is ready and has no problem with it but not sure about his father so he assures that he will try to convince his father by the core of his heart.
Next day, he talks to his father. His father got angry and asked him to leave.
And this whole scene was for one month. Finally his parents agreed when he warns them that he will leave home with his wife.
So finally Geeta joins in an office near to house. Now she wakes up early in the morning and does her all stuff which should be done by every Bahu of Indian family. And then she goes to office and works perfectly there also and back to home and again all household stuff to make her Inlaws happy.
Though now she has no time to take rest for her but she feels happy because whatever she is doing, she is doing from the core of her heart.
She is not afraid of any hard work but of restrictions.
