Hello everyone! welcome to my art blog. I've been out for over a week because I got busy with reviews and exams. Now I'll be sharing this fanart of Marin Kitagawa cosplaying Archangel Haniel from the latest chapter of Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru manga. I read the chapter last week during a break and wanted to draw it right away but I couldn't so I saved it and drew it right after I got released from the hell week xD
ART PROCESS
I started off with a not-so-rough sketch, just making it simple and clear trying to capture her emotionless yet enchanting smile. As stated in the manga, Haniel is an archangel who rules over love and beauty making anybody who stares hard enough fall in love.
I added the base color, I looked for the details of the colors online since I can only see black & white in the manga and found it in wiki fandom she wears light blue contacts and a nearly white wig with a hint of pink and gray and since Haniel is not a human a pale makeup and also a red lips and pink brown eye shadow, a long eyelash is fitting for her.
I then added the dramatic lighting from behind using a soft brush and airbrush. But to provide more glow for the light, I slightly darkened the whole body by adding a layer on top filled with black color in a multiply blending mode and erased some parts with a soft eraser. Then another Hardlight-layer on top and used the soft brush to paint lights on the hair and another layer of Color Dodge for the glows around using the airbrush. Then I added some final touches with color and saturation and here's the result
