Let's get high
How cute is that! I actually got this inspiration (more like copy and paste, honestly) from a random cake design online when I was looking for a cake idea to order a cake to surprise my boyfriend for his belated birthday. The text 'Someone I love was born today' was cute, direct and easily makes someone smile (It did make me smile!) so here we go, let's make the birthday boy happy!
The Sky 32
Modern and sky-high dining destination, with enchanting views over Pattaya!
That same evening, after picking up the cute cake, we headed to The Sky 32 one of the most popular destinations for those who seek rooftop restaurant to chill, celebrate, be romantic whatsoever. What floor is it on you ask..? Guess again.. aha, 32nd floor! Dang, that's high! It's located on top of the superb Grande Centre Point Pattaya. Since we're not so used to dining so high up, we went so early and got seated in the middle of the space (not idea, super windy but all surrounded seats got booked already #lol Hope you learn one good trick from this post. Book first! Not in the middle!).
Funny enough, they don't serve alcohol.
Now let's talk food.
I bought a special set of meal, cost about 890THB or $25 per person. We could pick 4 courses with 1 drink so if you can imagine, it's a lotttt of food. So we ended up getting Rock Lobster Thermidor, Black Spaghetti with spicy seafood, Smoked salmon crostini, Thai spicy fruit salad with shrimps, cream mushroom soup with truffle oil, Fried chicken wings with salt and pepper, Oyster rockefeller, Lychee Mojito and pineapple mojito. Wait, that's a lot of food, but am I missing anything?
Some were great and some just ok just the way things are I suppose. For me, funnily, my favorite was that cream of mushroom with truffle oil and Smoked salmon crostini. I guess I prefer their appies to their main dishes. The drinks were great, and the service is of course top-notch till it gets a little busy later.
Honestly, I think it's so worth the price. It's not just the food, but the view, the service and the experience in general. It's great! My birthday boy was happy!
Cake from Ton Aor
If you somehow take this idea to celebrate any occasion here in Pattaya and still need some cake. I got my boyfriend this custom cake from Ton Aor and she makes it exactly just the way I wanted it. You see how it's creamy like that, it's perfect with the lemon jam inside I requested. You can request whatever really, the shop owner is so kind and understanding. Once again, good cake, good vibe.
Turned out to be a really great day/night and sure was a perfect belated birthday. We're happy! and would love to share the vibes with you. Enjoy your (maybe a birth) day for all of you out there! and always make your beloved one smile! <3
