What's up, fellow Hive foodies! Today, a review of Roast Chicken Wichienbury in Chiang Mai. But first, let me drop a bombshell (hehe) our cannabis dispensary, 'The Spot', just opened up nearby! It's not exactly related to food but it's kind of close enough to the place we went eating so.. :D
Anyhoo, back to the roast chicken joint. I gotta admit, we always overlooked this place, even though it's just a two-minute walk from our shop. But that day, we finally decided to give it a shot. I actually expected it to be good anyways because the name.. Wichienbury (ไก่ย่างวิเชียรบุรี) is quite well known for their chicken.
Talking about chicken..
The roast chicken was the real MVP here. Tender, juicy, and with just the right amount of saltiness, it had us licking our fingers clean. That was pretty damn good too.. everything you could want in a chicken dish.
The papaya salad. It was sour, salty, a little sweet and refreshing, just like a good papaya salad should be. And other salads? They had a variety of options, like green mango, corn, and bamboo shoots. But my personal favorite was the papaya salad.
The only downside was that the dining area was hotter than a sauna. But hey, when the food is this good, you don't mind sweating a little, right?
Overall, I'd say Roast Chicken Wichienbury is a must-try if you're in Chiang Mai (specifically, Nimman). And here's a pro tip... there's a smoothie place called Joost across the street that's also super sick. So, you know, two birds, one stone.
