It has been two months now since we have been locked up at home. Our lives have never been the same and I guess will never be the same even after this is all over. One of the things that we missed the most is going out to eat. Especially some of the popular food chains in our country. One of those restaurants is called "Mang Inasal" which offers local Philippine food. The most popular food on the menu is called Chicken Inasal. A Philippine version of the chicken barbecue is marinated in coconut vinegar, calamansi (local lime), sugar, pepper, garlic and ginger. It also has a very special ingredient called chicken oil which is oil mixed with annatto seeds and doesn't really contain chicken essence.

Everyone craved for Chicken Inasal from the restaurant. I tried to search online to find out if they still deliver. Unfortunately, they are still closed but we found something better. There is an online seller who sells uncooked chicken from Mang Inasal. Not only that they even sold the popular chicken oil. We contacted the seller, ordered one pack of chicken and one liter of chicken oil.

The Price:
One pack of chicken contains 5 pcs - 410 pesos or $8.17 USD
You have an option to choose either legs and thigh or wings and breast
One liter of chicken oil - 190 pesos $3.79 USD

Join me today as I share with you as we cook and enjoy The Philippine Chicken Inasal from Mang Insal restaurant. I hope you enjoy the video.
