Americans gained their freedom with a revolution to combat British rule. Independence came through blood and tears. A separation from all that was known meant hardship, loss, hunger, death and immeasurable loss.
Political change often stirs up the people who envision a different life. Religious freedom, financial independence and political independence are cherished by each and every one who is enslaved by a rich ruling class who wishes to appropriate the earnings of the masses for programs which someone feels is important.
Americans are gearing up for a new election and lines are drawn in the sand on both sides of the invisible fence as parties argue that their ways of managing our wealth will result in better lives for all.
The hard test is winning over the majority to believe in political rhetoric in a history that causes the people to question the motives of their rulers.
Freedoms are tenuous and taxes and laws become blanket across the nation. We all have the right to vote, but dishonesty at the polls and changes to who can vote and how we can vote can totally shift the voter landscape.
The motor voter law would allow anyone with a license to vote, regardless of citizenship. Only citizens are compelled to pay taxes.
Can we afford "Medicare for All"? Should businesses pay more taxes? How much tax should be levied on land? Should we have free education and should all college loans be forgiven? With so many directions to shift the collective wealth which do we find most pressing?
Whoever is chosen to lead shoulders a heavy burden of responsibility to the nation they serve. Obedience to government is strictly enforced. There is no escaping death or taxes is truthfully observed.
Educate yourself into all the possible end results and pray for your country. If things go awfully awry you may live to see yet another revolution.
