As I lay half asleep and half awake this morning conversing from time to time with my son I was fully awake at hearing kittens cry and a growling cat.
I knew the growling cat to be River and only thought one of her babies had made it partially under my bed where Kitty might have been laying but was unprepared for what I discovered.
Kitty was moving her babies and putting them under my bed. All I could think was how dangerous that was for the babies and how difficult it would be for me to make my bed. Then I noticed the one under the bed was none other then Champ.
So this is how it is going to be? I'm not having it. She can move the babies there for now but I will be taping cardboard around the edges of my bed and moving the kittens behind the door. I need to be able to take care of Champ's leg and get him and his sister their oral medication.
I was also a little saddened when I removed the bandage this morning to see more toe skin has died. I am doing the best I can but am now feeling that even that right now isn't good enough. I do not know if it is okay to wait until friday or if I should take him back to the vet sooner.
Well it is now just after ten p.m and everything that needed to be done that I could do has been done. Kitty is mad at me and now will not go outside. Her problem with that is that when she went out earlier I used that time to move the babies and box around the bottom of my bed to keep her and the kittens out. I am hoping for a better tomorrow. I am exhausted and over heated. Time for me to go cool off in the rain.
