This is a happy mother. 🐱
So, last Thursday, around 2 a.m., I woke up because one of my cats was meowing loudly on my bed. I immediately knew what was happening. I had a feeling that the time had finally come.
Cimit, who had been pregnant for a while, had finally reached the moment to give birth. So, right away, I prepared a comfortable place for her. Thankfully, she wasn't too fussy and immediately accepted the little space I had prepared for her.
Cimit is one of the cats I'm quite close to. She is usually the one who spends the most time with me whenever I'm sitting in front of my computer. She often sits or even falls asleep on top of my PC because it's one of her favorite spots. Especially when she was pregnant, she seemed to really enjoy the warmth coming from it.
These are Cimit's first babies.
The birth itself happened surprisingly quickly. I don't think it took more than 30 minutes before all of her kittens were born healthy. I was really happy to welcome these three little new members into the family.
Finally, we have kittens with the colors I've been waiting for: black tuxedo, cream, and black and white. I've been hoping for these colors for quite some time, especially the black one, since I feel that completely black cats are a little harder to come across.
And looking at them now, I can't help but think... I think I see a mini Loki here. One of them really reminds me of Loki, so I'm curious to see how much they will look alike as they grow up.
For now, I've decided to keep Cimit and her kittens in my room. I already know that if I put them somewhere else, she would probably move her babies to another place she considers safer. So, rather than making her stressed and disturbing the kittens, I decided to let them stay in my room.
It's really nice to see Cimit becoming a mother. Not long ago, she was just the cat who loved keeping me company while I worked at my computer. Now, she has three tiny babies to take care of.
I'm really happy to share this little moment with all of you, and I hope I can continue to give you updates about them as they grow.
