New Mini app/frontend for hive : Hive Chain Mini (temporary name for beta testing):

Continuing with my experiments with Claude, after a few iterations, I got a version live as a beta test of a simple UI for Hive. I thought about it during hivefest and the key was to create a simple platform for new users when interests for Hive come back up (if it does which I hope).

A few key points, just like YouTube I don't want the users to see the potential reward, no wallet management at this point. You only see likes and comments, it is true that you lose the value of stake weighted vote but it does remove also the expectation of gain.
The message is not come here and earn but something more along the line of own what you create.

For the first version, the site is at https://app.walterjay.fr and is name Hive Chain Mini. If there is interest or I want to continue with this project then I will probably look for a better name and a domain.

The goal is to have a simple app that also works on mobile where users can read what is on chain to start and then after can also join with either a full hive account or a lite one when that comes out.

Features

Snaps: mix of the short content from Snaps, Waves and thread.

Photos: pictures from snaps or long posts that are displayed, people can vote from the feed based on the picture or open the post/snap.

Posts: Classic long posts.

On snaps you can see new or on fire snaps with the most comments to contribute to active short form talks on chain.

I would love to have some feedback below this post, even if you test it in a month or two, I think it is cool to have another simple/lightweight from end.

You can log in with keychain, only posting key needed is you want to comment/post else you don't need to have an account to test or just read through stuff.

The default feed if not logged in is from 3 communities which are Hive Learners,Photography Lovers and Hive food. The user can join others(or select them to be in feed). If you are logged in with a Hive account you should see the people your are following and you can follow others.

Below is the screenshot of a standard long form post when opened. You can see a suggested list of post from the author to continue reading and comments are on the right. For snaps comments are under the thread.

Creating it.

I think I used sonnet at the beginning in order to come up with the prompt to be passed to Opus 5.5. I am trying to learn how to optimize my token usage not wasting tokens on higher model if not necessary. Also learned that at some point it is better to reset the context not to have a huge one so I git Claude access to the Git repo and when a feature is finished and ready to be merged into the project, I sometimes open a new prompt to restart the work from there with a shorter context windows.

I only started taking Claude seriously in September so if you have a productivity or efficiency tips on AI use, I would love to learn about it.
