Monday's prompt "bulging eyes" reminds me of people I don't like.

Not because of their eyes but behavior. Gene Wilder is one of them and the other person is his look-alike but less funny and more...
It was a scrooge if he already died if not he probably still is.

I believe "bulging" is what we call in dutch "uitpuilen" we say "vissenogen" (fish eyes).
If you think about it it's weird. Why fish?There are plenty of animals, the chihuahua for example, which make a better example. The chihuahua is a handicapped "dog". The result of what humans do to animals. If we would breed humans that looked that way your eyes easily fall out of your head this is not cute or great or special.

Once a guy drove over a cat that sat underneath his car. I had to pick it up and take it to the vet. It had just one bulging eye the other eye popped out. Cat plus eye were taken to the vet since the animal was still alive. It could be fixed but it would stay blind and someone had to take it inside. No one volunteered so it was the end of the cat's life.
The bill needed to be paid and that was an issue too. The owner had dumped the cat and the "street" (mainly the pup" took care of it since that moment. If you take care of a cat, feed it's your responsibility and you need to pay the bills and damage too. The pup owner who drove with me to the vet was not flattered by that idea (the bill I mean).

If it comes to our wallet it's easy to make a decision if it comes to life or death.

I wonder what the world looks like if we finish people in the same way we do with animals. Sick, a pain in the neck, blind, has to stay inside, not fitting to the couch, aggressive, an accident, eyes popping out, no longer useful.
Just onn injection and the problem is solved.
