I had a beeper (pager) once.
It was blue. I made a long list with codes the children could use if I was at work. Thinking back of it I wonder if they ever used it.
I am that kind of mom that forgets about home as soon as she arrives at work. I am also the kind of mom who never took pictures of the children with het at work or in her wallet. I always kept work and private separated.
My children knew what to do and behaved. It never happened I came back home and the house was a mess and I doubt accidents ever happened if I were not home. They did their homework, helped me out, and at that time watched tv.
I guess it was the mo ole phone that made me throw away the pager but it's possible too the phone company no longer supported it.
