Ekereobong released a deep breathe when the man was out of sight. But he was still afraid and felt as if he would be shot if he moved away from where he sat. So he remained in that same position for a long time until he convinced himself that his assailant was only a thief. At this conviction, he, he released another breath and changed his position from sitting to knelling. He wondered whether it was wise for him to remain there or move to somewhere else. He was going to manage on; why was he so unfortunate; what would be his next line of action to guarantee his survival?
