I used to live in India for one year, and one of my most positive moments was experiencing the celebration of Diwali. One thing I notice is that celebrations involving fire are very universal and typical for human behaviors. We feel connected to fire, light and reflections due to our own history as during "cavemen" and "hunters and gatherers" periods when were living in small units as clans and tribes. Fire connects us and Diwali is about the religious and spiritual belief of victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
