An Experimental Coffee Masala
Happy Diwali...
Yup!
Recently was Diwali night for Indians, might the light safe your life.
Talk about Diwali, to be honest I'm not celebrated but my boss is Indian so I have knewn about that festival. Besides, I have watched Bollywood since I was child, so I know well about that festival.
Again, Talk about Diwali and festival, there is beverage related to that culture. It was Tea Masala. I loved Tea Masala. In Indonesia, Tea Masala similar with 'Bandrek, but Tea Masala have softer texture. The taste is kinda spicy but delicious if you drink in the cold weather.
My lovely Tea Masala then inspired me to make another drink. Yup, I made coffee Masala. I experimented it!
Coffee Masala has the same ingredients with Tea Masala. I just switched the main ingredients. This idea came to me after I have tried Tea Masala sachet for my friend in Bollywood community. Then I thought, cause I like coffee more than tea, why not I make coffee masala? Then go to my kitchen and experimented it!
Let's get it!
For make a coffee Masala just need around 30 minutes with less stuff. You just need to have stove and pan.
Ingredients
Coffee powder, according your taste
3 of Cinnamons
One of Cardamom
Some of Cloves, according your taste
Liquid palm Sugar, Optional
200 ml of Milk
Step 1
Heat the water on the stove then heat the 300 ml litre (it is optional, you can adjust by your taste.
Step 2
Boil the ingredients, coffee powder, cinnamons, cardamom, cloves in the pan. While waiting all ingredients boiling, prepare the liquid of palm sugar on the glass.
Step 3
After all ingredients boiled, add the 200 ml of milk on the pan then waiting for several minutes for mixed.
Step 4
Pour the boiling coffee in the glass with the liquid of palm sugar than mix!
Your Coffee Masala is ready to drink!
The taste
My coffee Masala has strong taste. It was spicy cause I have added the more clove and chewy taste. When I tried it first, it tasted like strange. But in the second and third times, It is good and nice to drink.
Even though it was my first experimental of coffee to make a new variant of coffee, I can not claimed it recipe as my own recipe cause I just modified it. The truly recipes is own of Indian culture.
