Affectionate scholar’s please allow me to introduce myself, this is the first installment and introduction to the Hive community. I will create a series documenting my health after Covid-19. Like many people these days our health has taken a back seat to our busy lives. Between work, home and friends who has any time nowadays. Now almost 3 months into my recovery and still on disability, I have finally found the time and energy, to write about my experience having to live with Covid-19.
I was diagnosed with Covid-19 by my doctor in mid January of 2022. I lost a friend who was of similar age to me who left kids behind. I am a father of two beautiful children and if I had to leave them now, I would be beside myself. This was a serious reality check for me and made me look at how I was living my life. So life after Covid-19 will be a record of my progression towards health and happiness in my life.
I never would have thought i'd be living in a global Pandemic, but if you had asked me I would have cited something to do with the history of, ring around the rosy, a childhood game. With hidden meanings of death and despair. Hush-uh, hush-uh we all fallen down refers to people who died from the Plague. We are now approaching 6.2 million deaths due to Covid-19 worldwide.
There is however light at the end of this tunnel for most it's a very dull one that maybe seems to far away to grasp right now. But I believe that we will prevail and overcome our hard ships no matter how great they seem at the time. I feel very fortunate for the life I lead. Lord give me the strength to endure whatever comes on this journey ahead.
