Chief psychiatrist, research professor at Psychiatric Hospital for Prisoners, National Institute for Health and Welfare, Mr Hannu Lauerma giving a lecture on the subject of 'The Sociobiological Background of Violence'. I've noticed quite early on that if the lecturer knows their business and can present it properly, it's interesting regardless of the subject. Mr Lauerma is one of the best yet: even though his subjects are quite heavy, he has excellent minimalistic and laconic humour in every single lecture (+ he also writes brilliant articles).

I never pass the chance to attend, read or listen to what he has to say. Psychiatry is largely based on statistics since the average person does not exist, he always drops some interesting data for the listener to ponder upon, such as: is there correlation in the era and name given to a subject based on their parents' preferences vs. the fact the subject is now a violent criminal. We didn't arrive early enough to this event but I managed to get at least this fine shot of him. Since I didn't want to bother attendees, I made the quick decision to go for the 'anonymous' style of a picture because I think it suits the line of business he's in and the background also looks like it could be from an institute etc.

Thanks for visiting, this picture is my entry to #monomad saturday silhouette contest.
