Las Terrazas

The Las Terrazas Complex, located in the Sierra del Rosario mountain range in the western province of Artemisa, Cuba, is a natural site of extraordinary beauty, home to native flora and fauna.

The area is a designated Biosphere Reserve. The San Juan River flows down from the nearby mountains, and given its wide channel, a dam was built to store water.

There is a small settlement built among the green areas, occupied by a few residents who work in tourism and agriculture.

The buildings feature picturesque and comfortable architecture, some bordering the edge of the dam. It is always a pleasure to share these experiences with you.

El Complejo Las Terrazas, ubicado en la Sierra del Rosario, en la occidental provincia de Artemisa, Cuba, es un sitio natural de extraordinaria belleza, que posee ejemplares de flora y fauna autóctonas de dicha región. El área está declarada como una Reserva de la Biosfera. El río San Juan baja desde las montañas cercanas y dado su amplio cauce se construyó una represa para acumular agua. Existe un asentamiento poblacional ocupado por un grupo reducido de habitantes, construido entre las propias áreas verdes, cuyos pobladores se dedican a realizar actividades relacionadas con el turismo y la agricultura. Las edificaciones poseen estructuras constructivas pintorescas y confortables, algunas colindas con la orilla de la represa. Siempre es un placer compartir con ustedes estas experiencias.
