I agree, I think we should not hold back if we feel that way naturally. I still stand by what I said in my previous comment, but I believe that if we feel one way naturally we don't have to hide it and act as if the opposite were true, that wouldn't do anything either.
I do believe that perhaps you are stronger than you think, because strong is not the one who hides his weaknesses, but the one who exposes them. In body language, for example, the gestures and positions that demonstrate power are not those in which people cross their arms to protect their torso, but those in which the head is raised and the hands are separated, exposing the chest and neck, the latter which is one of the most delicate parts of the body. So I don't think crying will change that, it's like that R.E.M. song, isn't it?
I was thinking of writing something related a few days ago, but maybe I'll save it for another time.
