Hello hivers, you probably know how it feels to be distracted but you pay little or not attention to it especially when it comes to important life situations and events.
Before i proceed,i would like to define the term distraction.
A distraction is a thing that prevents someone from concentrating on something else.
You've heard of divided attention right?,when you divide your attention, what happens is you have successfully paid half the price you should be paying normally(attention) and so what comes forth would be half of what it could have been.
Focus is the opposite of distraction;if you are focused on a particular thing (i.e everything in you agrees and you give it your full attention) you would definitely not be distracted and you would achieve your goals.

The enemy of vision and goals is Distraction; Let's give an example, say you want to learn a particular digital course that would take you only 3 months, buying a new game; especially if you love games can be a distraction and might elongate the duration of that learning.
Now to balance this,it is great to multitask as well, it's a life skill you should work on but the truth is people who can multitask are probably people who can really really do well if they focus on the tasks individually.
So if you know you really struggle at multi-tasking you should make sure you get really good at doing those things one at a time, then after that you can combine.
I mentioned earlier that multi-tasking(or in the case of this;Setting multiple goals)will reduce efficiency but i didn't say it won't be high.
The efficiency of a people when they multitask differ, some will multitask and still do better than those who did it individually.......and that is because they are just better in those tasks individually.
Goals are meant to be achieved one step at time.....you can't try to fix your whole life in one night.
Even if you do have to multitask,it is best you do the ones that are related, doing unrelated ones makes you not focused and inconsistent.
However for instances where we can't help but actually do those other things(like combining school work with learning an instrument),one must be diligent enough;i mean one must be strategic enough, make best use of one's time and run both things.
It should not be a lot of goals you're trying to achieve at the same time;you want to learn coding, fashion designing and photography all at once, and you still have school, business, social life, spiritual life, health etc to tend to.
It makes the goal unrealistic and it would choke you if you do things that way,but make sure you take distractions out of your way.
If it will hinder your short and long term goals then it is a distraction and you should not allow the distraction to distract you, instead distract the distraction.(lol)
Distracting the distraction means that you allow the distraction to mean nothing to you,and if you render it useless by making it have no effect on you.
Thank you so much
