🌾 180-200 grams flour
For the Filling:
🧅 1 large onion, finely chopped
🎃 400 grams pumpkin, diced
🥩 400 grams ground beef
🧂 1 teaspoon salt
🌶️ 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1- Prepare the Dough:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 150 ml of water, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 egg. Whisk until everything is well mixed.
- Gradually incorporate 180-200 grams of flour, mixing continuously until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough by hand for 5-10 minutes to achieve a firm and pliable consistency. Cover with a kitchen towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.
2- Prepare the Filling:
- Dice 400 grams of pumpkin into small cubes, about 0.5 cm in size.
- Finely chop the onion and mix it with the pumpkin, 400 grams of ground beef, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper in a large bowl. Ensure the filling is well mixed.
3- Roll Out and Cut the Dough:
- Flour your working surface lightly.
- Roll the rested dough into a very thin circular sheet, aiming for a thickness of around 1/16 inch.
- Cut the dough into squares, approximately 7 cm on each side.
4- Form the Manti:
- Place a spoonful of filling at the center of each dough square.
- Fold the square to form a dumpling, sealing all edges firmly.
5- Steam the Manti:
- Fill a Röndell multi-tiered steamer pot with water and bring it to a boil on an induction cooktop.
- Lightly oil the steamer tiers and arrange the manti, ensuring they do not touch each other.
- Steam for 40 minutes. Start on high heat for the first 20 minutes, then reduce to medium heat.
6- Serve:
- Enjoy the manti hot, possibly with garlic yogurt, sour cream, or a spicy tomato sauce.
