I was telling flaccidfervor@flaccidfervor the other day at caffetto@caffetto that I was giving up carbonated drinks and coffee. To be honest, I was never into these type of drinks until I met kommienezuspadt@kommienezuspadt. When I’m exposed to certain foods daily then it’s hard to not partake. I also have a hard time declining anything that is offered to me.

Which reminds me of a time when I was offered a glass of water at a meeting. I wasn’t the least bit thirsty but I thought it would be rude to decline. I was left holding a cold glass and found my palms slightly damp from the condensation.

I love the scent of tea. Yesterday, I was craving something with more citrus but the only tea that was on hand had cloves in it. Cloves are too strong for me and I think soups which contain heavy amounts of cloves have ruined my taste for it. I ended up going with my usual Earl Grey tea.

The conditions to create were at it’s peak in these moments. The light from the sun in combination with the scent of tea was warm and comforting. I also feel most at peace while watching the steam dance from the cup.

Since I was craving citrus flaccidfervor@flaccidfervor suggest that I add a little bit of lemon juice. It was an idea brought to her from another barista and it seemed to be gaining some popularity. Soon caffetto@caffetto will have too many fancy drink combinations to chose from! I’m excited to give them all a try!

There is something mesmerizing and almost erotic about watching honey slowly drip into the cup. I also enjoy the sound the spoon makes as it scratches and chimes as I stir.

The tea definitely played it’s part in inspiring the image for the 14th week of my fox tales writing contest. You can read more about the contest and see the progress images here.
