Hello dear food lovers. Last month we celebrated my daughter 14th birthday at JL Cafe, Kg. Kivatu, Penampang. The place is about 5 minutes car drive from Donggongon town and 25 minutes from Kota Kinabalu city. It's actually owned by my husband's parent so we got a special discount on using the place.
The place is spacious making it suitable for a free and easy party. I take the alternative to put up a simple party backdrop. It looks messy but yeah... my daughter loved it.
There is no Menu available to show. The café mostly served simple food like Noodle soup and economy rice. However, they do provide catering for special occasion like wedding, birthday and so on.
I requested five types of food. The café gave complimentary of fruits and delicious Pork soup.
Mixed Vegetables in Sauce
Fried Noodle
Crispy Fried Chicken
Ikan Asam Pedas or Fish in Spicy and Sour sauce
Prawn in Sweet Spicy Sauce
Pineapple fruit
Pork Soup
After looking through the food served and displayed, I and my husband were very happy. Food quantity were satisfactory and beyond our expectation, and delicious especially that Prawn, Mixed Vege and Crispy fried Chicken.
My daughter was so happy especially when she saw these BTS Carrot Cheese cake made by my sister @annekins
Overall, we only paid RM400.00 (USD96.26) for the food. Really cheap compare to other restaurants plus we got our very special special discount. Highly recommended place to dine-in or to cater food.
Business hour: Opened Monday to Saturday from 7AM to 5PM.
