Coconut Trees After the Rain

Once again, I’m taking part in this reflections contest, this time in round #289.

It was a day at the beach, and after the rain, small puddles of water remained on the sand. One of them caught my attention because it had become a natural mirror for the coconut trees nearby.
I liked how simple the scene was. The real trees stood quietly against the sky, while their reflections appeared below them, slightly disturbed by the uneven surface of the water. For a moment, it was difficult to decide which image I liked more: the palm trees themselves or the version that the rain had left on the ground.
Sometimes we look for reflections in mirrors, windows, or other polished surfaces, but nature creates them in much simpler ways. A little rainwater on the sand was enough to give me another way of looking at this familiar beach scene.

Una vez más participo en este concurso de reflejos, esta vez en la ronda #289.

Era un día de playa y, después de la lluvia, quedaron pequeños charcos de agua sobre la arena. Uno de ellos llamó mi atención porque se había convertido en un espejo natural de los cocoteros que estaban cerca.
Me gustó lo sencillo de la escena. Los árboles reales permanecían tranquilos frente al cielo, mientras sus reflejos aparecían debajo, ligeramente alterados por las irregularidades de la superficie del agua. Por un momento, fue difícil decidir qué imagen me gustaba más: los cocoteros o esa versión de ellos que la lluvia había dejado sobre la arena.
A veces buscamos reflejos en espejos, ventanas u otras superficies pulidas, pero la naturaleza los crea de maneras mucho más sencillas. Un poco de agua de lluvia sobre la arena fue suficiente para regalarme otra forma de mirar esta escena tan conocida de la playa.
Declaro que las imágenes compartidas en este post son de mi propiedad, capturadas con mi móvil. Como mi lengua materna es el español, utilicé DeepL Translate para la versión en inglés.
