Luna stared at the kids who were playing at the playground near her apartment building with envy. Although she felt that it was unfair that she was stuck at home doing homework while other kids enjoyed the last days of their summer vacation, she can't really blame anyone but herself.
If she didn't play around the entirety of summer and do her homework when she had a lot of time, she wouldn't be in the situation she was in. Was she feeling regretful? She was, but considering that she's running out of time, she didn't even have the luxury to regret her carelessness. No, she has no time for that. Instead of feeling regretful, it would be much better if she moved her hands and completed her homework.
While she was doing her homework, the door to their apartment opened, and a woman entered. It was Luna's mother who just went back from buying groceries. The moment she entered their apartment, she could hear the sound of scribbling inside her daughter's room.
Hearing the scribbling sound, Mrs. Sanchez simply smiled and started unpacking the groceries. Although she feels sorry that Luna was stuck at home doing her summer homework instead of playing outside with other kids, she also thinks that this will be a good lesson for her.
With this lesson, she hoped that her daughter would learn to be more responsible and manage her time more carefully. For the time being, she would cook Luna's favorite dish so as to cheer her up a little.
Late in the afternoon, Luna was finally done with her homework. Looking at the notebooks stacked in front of her, she was amazed that she was able to finish all of them on time. Moreover, she still has a couple more days before her summer vacation ends, so she could still play with her friends.
Before Luna could think of anything else, she heard her mother's voice calling for her. She's telling her that dinner is ready. Hearing the word dinner, Luna suddenly felt the fang of hunger and quickly went out. In the dining area, she saw her mother and father conversing with each other. When she looked at the table, she saw her favorite dish and was delighted. She was going to eat lots of food today.
