I thought I would share my experience going to the opening day of Babcock Ranch - America’s First Solar Powered City in Punta Gorda, FL. They have their own downtown, school, lake, and much more!

This is where we parked - there were stunning views all around - you could look miles in any direction and see electric tour boats on the lake

Riverdale High School's marching band played some opening day style music that made it feel even homier.

They have a stage in the downtown area where a band was going to be playing

They even have their own school! and are building another! We were able to see a tour given by two of the teachers!

This was the school's back garden (corn, sweet potato, and summer squash (zucchini)

Picked up some VEGAN bars (delicious) from a local vendor (lots of great organic ingredients and homemade)
