Is this really how the World works?
Everyone pretends to be perfect.
Putting you down every time you climb up.
You are worthless if you are weak.
And when you are low, they dump you down to the depths of oblivion.
Bashing you with every mistake you commit.
Is this how it really is?
Feeling happiness after hurting others.
Feeling happiness in the suffering of others.
Feeling happiness when making fun of others.
Feeling happiness as the tears flow from the eyes of others.
Feeling happiness while breaking down others.
Breaking and crashing LIVES!
With one single judgemental word that escapes through the perfectionist's lips
Comes millions and millions of needles to the heart of the person engaged in bruised ribs.
Do you know how people who have nothing to brag about like I feel?
It's a torment. It hurts a lot to feel the daily burden
Like a gigantic stone over our meek self.
Is my state in life that awful?
The respect I wish is so hard to reach.
It sometimes takes a showboat just to have a small portion of respect
Will the respect we yearn for so much be blown away by the wind?
All I can do is break down and weep
to the days we are underrated
By the people who feel spotlessly perfect.
As if their awful character is covered by their shining jewels.
That is how things work when they know they can still drain something from you
They will cling unto you
Draining the life though they know it will hurt others.
That is how the world is, everyone is “user-friendly”
When they need nothing more from you, you’ll be thrown with disregard
Just like a worthless and useless thing they dispose off.
There are pretentious people who chose to disguise as perfect, so they turn out to be superior to the rest.
Masking away the stench of their reality to avoid inferiority from the world.
Do we really have to hurt others just to have a ton of admirers?
Cant we just do good to others which is genuinely praiseworthy?
Cant everyone just removes their biased and prejudiced trait towards each other?
Can’t we all just unify and help each other?
Someone’s superficial imperfection shouldn’t be something to make fun of
Someone’s physical challenges doesnt make someone irrespectable nor invaluable.
Instead of undermining others, we should all help each other to reduce the number of conceited and domineering individuals.
With this, we can diminish the people in pain, in suffering and at a loss because they believe they are different and insignificant.
