Exterritorial (2025) is an intriguing German action thriller, a movie directed by Christian Z眉bert and starring Jeanne Goursaud as Sara. Exterritorial is a movie that shows the length a mother could go to search for her missing child. It also explores the military, a hidden conspiracy and mystery. The movie does a great job in playing her as the protagonist. She found herself in a very desperate situation and this led to a more complicated situation and also led to serious chaos.

The protagonist Sara is a former soldier who visited the U.S. Consulate in Frankfurt with her little son, Josh, her visit was going simple and peaceful untill she realized her son was missing and it all turned to a nightmare. The part that kept the viewers confused was that the staff at the U.S. Consulate tried to convince her that she had never came in with a child and had evidence of that, but as a viewer, I saw her clearly with a child, but Sara refused adamantly to accept such an explanation. She was deeply convinced something wrong had happened and decided to find her child on her own at the Consulate. And while searching she discovered more secrets about this U S Consulate.

Sara is one of this movie's greatest strengths. She shows the strength of a parent who would stop at nothing to find her child. Her military background in this movie was visible, because she was resourceful, a skillful fighter, capable and determined to fight for what she wanted. She shows her emotional vulnerability in most scenes. Her desperation to find her child and skillful combat really delivers a convincing performance.

The action sequence of this movie also made the movie interesting to watch. It was another strength of this movie. The movie created an action sequence through combat and pursuit sequences, there were limited gunfire scenes. Also, chasing and running the Consulate looked like Sara was in a maze, the environment felt like a maze because she kept going round the environment, but she also had to find her son and a way out of the Consulate.

What kept me glued to the screen is the mystery that's surrounding Josh's disappearance. At first, the viewers are meant to believe Sara was mentally ill, then at some point we saw she was uncovering a truth that was linked to her past. The more she investigate, new question emerged to the viewers , the twist wasn't so predictable and the movie gave enough suspense that kept me glued to the screen.

However, Exterritorial has its own weakness, the characters weren't fully developed to me, and the storyline isn't very original, the same storyline we have seen in many action thrillers, but the movie succeeded in entertaining the viewers.

Exterritorial(2025) is a fast, tense, emotional and action movie that's enjoyable to watch and also entertaining. It is a solid action thriller that's enjoyable and gives straightforward entertainment value. The cast performance is great, a movie with intense action and a mystery to solve that will keep the viewer glued to their screen for a few hours.

I will be rating the movie Exterritorial (2025) 80/ 100.
