We humans sometimes forget precisely that we are humans, not robots, so we inevitably end up getting exhausted when we push ourselves non-stop. Lately, it happens to me that when I'm being very productive in performing a particular activity and for x reason one day I can't do it or I feel tired, I judge myself a lot for that as if I had done something atrocious, the worst part is that they are not serious things and I have every right to take a break. For me is evident that the problem is me, I'm over demanding myself without having the need to do it, I'm imposing myself to do things in a certain way and then when they don't go as I want, I get discouraged, even if it's just the slightest thing.

I have reflected a lot about it, clearly I want to maintain an order, a structure that will support me and guide me on the way to achieve what I want to achieve, which in fact is fine, but what is not fine is that I'm turning something good into something that somehow is hurting me by taking it to the extreme, because as we know, excess are bad and inevitably things will not always go as planned, we will not always get what we want and that's fine, it's part of life, we have to take it easy.

It makes me laugh when I said that we have to take it easy (yes, we have to), because I'm having a hard time doing it (although I'm doing better). In December I tormented myself a lot for the slightest thing, now I'm allowing myself to rest a little more, so as I mentioned, yes I have improved, but I still can't get rid of the uncomfortable feeling that I could have done more even though I'm already doing quite a lot. I think in part this is still happening to me because I'm mentalizing myself too much in "doing" before starting the day, even the week, but I'm not giving space for the "not doing", to allow myself to rest, so when I do it is like a mistake in the Matrix that shouldn't be happening.

Considering all this I'm scheduling myself to allow me to rest at least two days a week, two days without writing, without doing anything "productive", just relaxing, sleeping, watching movies, among other things that I like to do and I'm almost not doing because I'm being foolish.

IS RESTING A SIN?!, ha, ha, ha, of course it's not, I just wanted to be dramatic. 😅

It's fine to want to be productive, but we can't forget that we MUST (in capital letters) allow ourselves to rest because if we don't do it voluntarily, our body, which is wise, will look for a way for us to do it and sometimes it can be more complicated to manage if we have to take care of many things.

That's how I want to be without judging myself for it. I used to be very relaxed and didn't let anything take away my peace, I know I can get back to that without losing productivity, I will succeed. 💪😎
