Hello traveler!
Continuation of my last post on hiking in Capri, this post is dedicated to Anacapri and Monte Solaro, the highest point on the island of Capri.
After walking 13km all day along the coastal trails and through the center of Capri, we decided to visit the port of Capri at night, which was very quiet. Maybe it gets more crowded in high season, I don't know. We expected something more hectic.
But we found a very peaceful environment with a sky still lit by the last rays of the sun, which left a very beautiful blue color with some stars already appearing. I was quite impressed with the sky over there, lots of stars.
After the sun goes down, the lights on the island come on, leaving a very charming view with a beautiful starry sky.
Among many cafes and restaurants, people drinking wine and having dinner... The view of the boats in the marina with the mountain in the background creates an animal scene.
We grabbed a few beers and went to rest for the next day.
The next day we woke up with a mission to reach Anacapri as the ancient Romans did, through the Scala Fenicia.
Time to wake up, have that tasty and nutritious breakfast, the Doppio Espresso and let's walk.
Shall we face up the stairs? Do you accept the challenge? There are 921 steps to climb... It's easy!
As we started to climb the stairs I couldn't help but feel a little intimidated by the thousand high steps that seemed like it would take forever to climb but in the end it wasn't that difficult and we reached the top.
The view on the way up is wonderful paying off all the effort and forgetting about the steps.
But you can also go to Anacapri by car, taxi or bus.
Arriving at the top of the stairs you will be able to appreciate even more the incredible view of Anacapri from several panoramic points that exist.
The landscape is breathtaking and worth all the effort on the way up and to rest a little, you can take breaks in the squares and different stores that sell everything and restaurants to rest a little while drinking that delicious coffee to energize.
Between a few breaks to catch my breath and some selfies to record the moments, it was unexpected to see this football field. The contrast it had with the sea, the city, and everything around it from up there created a really cool scenario.
I think Italians are as passionate about football as Brazilians are. It would be interesting if a match wawereoing on.
And all that green in the middle of the city created a beautiful contrast in the photo with the blue of the sea and sky, right?
Breath recovered? continues that we are almost at the end.
It's moments like these that make traveling even more special and seeing beautiful landscapes and new places for the first time.
Arriving in Anacapri via Villa San Michele, I already noticed that the climate was changing a little, while Capri seems to be a more residential place, Anacapri seemed to have more to offer, at least where I went.
I would like to spend more time there and be able to fully explore this part of the island, it has several trails, lookout points and the famous Blue Grotto.
Very picturesque villages of places with the Capri style of being. Street signs in patterned colored ceramics add a special touch throughout the island.
We start at Villa San Michele and head to the central square, Piazza Vittoria, which means victory square with a few breaks.
Most of the breaks were to see views from up there before heading downtown away from the hillside towards the sea.
Villa San Michelle is a house museum, with a garden, but we decided not to go in because we wanted Monte Solaro.
We walked a little and visited some panoramic points to see the view of Capri.
Soon after we proceed to the cable car to take to Monte Solaro
We didn't care about having a defined itinerary but we were keeping an eye on the clock. When you arrive in Anacapri you go with the flow and discover the places to go.
Our second mission, to reach the highest point of Capri and our main destination today, Monte Solaro.
After taking some pictures and walking around Piazza Vittoria, we will start the climb to Monte Solaro.
You can climb Monte Solaro on foot or use the cable car.
When buying the ticket, you can choose to take the cable car one-way or round-trip.
We bought a round trip, but here's the tip: go down the trail. It's amazing.
When we saw how the trail would go down on foot, we couldn't resist even with the possibility of rain.
I can tell you that it was an incredible experience going through places with beautiful views that we would miss by cable car.
Strolling through the Centro Storico of Anacapri is like taking a walk through the history of Italy, with the old houses and buildings full of charm and the typical architecture that make us feel in some time of the past.
The trees, gardens and flowers make the scenery even more beautiful and the very old churches also breathe history.
There was a place where I felt a very slow and peaceful rhythm that made me want to stop to relax and just stand there admiring and watching people walk by.

The climb was smoother than I imagined, as we were going to the highest point of Capri, I imagined a cable car, let's say, a little more exciting.
But the height of the chair from the floor is not that high, but actually getting up there would be a challenge.
I believe that the trail to go up on foot is another, perhaps the same one we went down, which even with rough terrain is easier.

As we climbed, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this opportunity to see such a beautiful place.
I remember looking at every corner wanting to absorb as much as possible.
After about 15 minutes by cable car, or maybe a little more, we arrive at Monte Solaro and from above, it was possible to hear the church bells from below. Incredible!
From up there you can see the whole island, Faragioni and practically the whole island of Capri.
Everywhere you look, incredible views reminding you that we are on a super small island.
When we had the company of the sun, it was even more amazing and even when the clouds covered the sun the blue of the sea remained.
The view from up there is incredible and made me feel like a dot on a small island in the middle of the ocean. Moments of existential crisis?! haha
Shortly after arriving there we were greeted by a fog. You know that I love the sun and always want it, especially on the beach.
But I'm also a #lovetheclouds , there's something magical about being among the clouds, but it took away a bit of the view where the name of the place already says a lot: Monte Ensolarado.
But when the sun appeared between the clouds and illuminated the entire landscape, it made everything even more incredible.
There is a garden, sculptures and a restaurant, good for taking a break and having a coffee enjoying that atmosphere of peace and being in the clouds.
I thought the garden could be better taken care of. But maybe the idea there is to really enjoy the view.
We found the trail to go down and that was the decisive moment: are we going to go back by cable car or go down the trail? It's going to rain... Let's go for the trail!
What else are we going to discover?
The descent was a little easier than I expected with the terrain not quite as rough on this side as I had seen while going up on the cable car.
We found some people coming back, others going down as well and some goats protecting themselves from the rain.
But the drizzle came and transformed the trail, leaving it a little slippery but a little adventurous is good.
Between a few slips and mud, the rain stopped. As I mentioned before, the clouds pass quickly over the island. I don't think it rained more than 15 minutes. Summer rain!
Soon We come to a fork in the road, where are you going (vai-pra-onde)?
The trail to Cliffs on the south side of the island, and at that time we were sure that going down on foot and doing this trail was the best choice.
It only gets better, Cetrella has amazing views and panoramic points to see the island and the Faraghoni.
I was happy to find a bench to take my classic "the bench" photo with the bench and its view.
Very cool to do these trails and even more with a friend who also likes it without hearing complaints about doing these trails in the rain. Show of a partner!
At the end of the trail the ground starts to improve and the descent becomes smoother... soon after asphalt and you arrive back in the center of Anacapri. What do you think of lunch?
After the hike up Monte Solaro and a bit of rain I was ready for an energy boost. Let's eat!
When we passed in front of Casa Orlandi, quality MPB was playing, we decided to stop there and were received in Portuguese by an Italian. That warm welcome from someone who knows Brazilians.
We started with this Selva Rosso Fappiano wine which was a great indication.
For main course we decided to go with meat and chips and a pasta, the Meat was on point and the pasta al dente. I highly recommend Casa Orlandi.
If you pass by, visit and have a wine while watching the tourists walking everywhere. And have a drink for me.
After lunch and a leisurely walk through Anacapri to visit some shops in the city that sell everything, and of course, have some more gelato.
After exploring Anacapri it was time to head back to Capri, this time by bus. The slopes during the descent are a show apart.
We got off the bus in the Center of Capri and after a short walk there, we soon got ready for the trip to Sorrento.
I found this greengrocer very charming with its analog scales and its old style. The aromas of fruits and spices that you could smell from the entrance to the greengrocer.
I really understood why Capri is so famous. What a beautiful place.
Well, it's time to say "arrivederci" to Capri and leave for Sorrento, where several plans have changed. But that's a conversation for the next post.

Continua莽茫o do meu 煤ltimo post sobre caminhadas em Capri, este post 茅 dedicado a Anacapri e ao Monte Solaro, o ponto mais alto da ilha de Capri.
Depois de caminhar 13km o dia todo pelas trilhas da costa e pelo centro de Capri, resolvemos ir conhecer o porto de Capri 脿 noite, que estava bem tranquilo. Talvez fique mais cheio na alta temporada, n茫o sei. Esper谩vamos algo mais agitado.
Mas encontramos um ambiente bem tranquilo com um c茅u ainda iluminado pelos 煤ltimos raios de sol, que deixaram uma cor azul muito bonita com algumas estrelas j谩 aparecendo. Fiquei bastante impressionado com o c茅u por la, muitas estrelas.
Depois que o sol se p玫e, as luzes da ilha iam se acendendo deixando uma vista muito charmosa com um lindo c茅u estrelado.
Entre muitos caf茅s e restaurantes, gente bebendo vinhos e jantando... A vista dos barcos na marina com a montanha ao fundo cria um cen谩rio animal.
Pegamos umas cervejas e fomos descansar para dia seguinte.
No dia seguinte acordamos com uma miss茫o de chegar a Anacapri como os antigos romanos faziam, pela Scala Fenicia.
Hora de acordar, tomar aquele caf茅 da manh茫 saboroso e nutritivo, o Doppio espresso e bora andar.
Vamos enfrentar subir as escadas? Aceita o desafio? S茫o 921 degraus para subir... Ta f谩cil!
Quando come莽amos a subir as escadas n茫o pude deixar de me sentir um pouco intimidado pelos mil degraus altos que parecia que iria levar uma eternidade para subir mas at茅 que n茫o foi t茫o dif铆cil e chegamos ao topo.
A vista pela subida 茅 maravilhosa pagando todo o esfor莽o e fazendo esquecer os degraus.
Mas voc锚 tamb茅m pode ir at茅 Anacapri de carro, t谩xi ou 么nibus.
Chegando ao topo das escadas voc锚 vai poder apreciar ainda mais a vista incr铆vel de Anacapri em diversos pontos panor芒micos que existem.
A paisagem 茅 de tirar o f么lego e vale a pena todo o esfor莽o da subida e para descansar um pouco, voc锚 poder谩 fazer pausaas nas pra莽as e diversas lojas que vendem de tudo e restaurantes para descansar um pouco tomando aquele caf茅 gostoso para energizar.
Entre alguns pausas para recuperar o f么lego e algumas selfies para registrar os momentos e foi inesperado ver esse campo de futebol. O contraste que tinha com mar, a cidade e tudo ao redor l谩 de cima criou um cen谩rio bem legal.
Creio que os Italianos s茫o apaixonados por futebol tanto quanto como os brasileiros. Seria interessante se uma partida estivesse rolando.
E esse verde todo no meio da cidade criou um belo contraste na foto com o azul do mar e do c茅u, n茫o 茅 mesmo?
Com f么lego recuperado? continua que estamos quase no fim.
S茫o momentos como esses que tornam a viagem ainda mais especial e ver lindas paisagens e novos lugares pela primeira vez.
Chegando em Anacapri pela Villa San Michele j谩 percebi que o clima estava mudando um pouco, enquanto Capri parece ser um lugar mais residencial, AnaCapri parecia ter mais a oferecer, pelo menos por onde passei.
Gostaria de passar mais tempo l谩 e poder explorar completamente essa parte da ilha, tem varies trilhas, mirantes e a famosa Gruta Azul.
Vilas bem pitorescas de lugares com o estilo Capri de ser. As placas das ruas em cer芒micas coloridas padronizadas dao um toque especial por toda a ilha.
Come莽amos na Villa San Michele e vamos para a pra莽a central, Piazza Vittoria, que significa pra莽a vit贸ria com algumas poucas pausas.
A maioria das pausas eram para ver vista l谩 de cima antes de ir para o centro longe da encosta para o mar.
A Villa San Michelle 茅 uma casa-museu, com um jardim, mas decidimos n茫o entrar, porque quer铆amos o Monte Solaro.
Caminhamos um pouco e visitamos alguns pontos panor芒micos para ver a vista de Capri.
Logo depois seguimos para o telef茅rico para levar ao Monte Solaro
N茫o nos preocupamos em ter um roteiro definido mas estavamos de olho no rel贸gio. Quando voc锚 chega em Anacapri voc锚 segue o fluxo e descobre os lugares para onde ir.
Nossa segunda miss茫o, chegar a铆 ponto mais alto de Capri e nosso destino principal de hoje, o Monte Solaro.
Depois de algumas fotos e voltas pela Piazza Vittoria, vamos come莽ar a subida ao Monte Solaro.

Na hora de comprar a passagem, voc锚 pode optar por ida ou ida e volta de telef茅rico.
Compramos um ida e volta, mas fica a dica: des莽a pela trilha. 脡 incr铆vel.
Quando vimos como seria a trilha para descida a p茅, n茫o resistimos mesmo com possibilidade de chuva.

Passear pelo Centro Storico de Anacapri 茅 como dar um passeio pela hist贸ria da It谩lia, com as casas e constru莽玫es antigas cheias de charme e a arquitetura t铆pica que nos fazem sentir em alguma 茅poca do passado.
As 谩rvores, jardins e flores deixam o cen谩rio ainda mais bonito e tamb茅m as igrejas bem antigas respiram hist贸ria.
Ali foi um lugar onde senti um ritmo bem lento e tranquilo que dava vontade de parar para relaxar e ficar al铆 s贸 admirando e vendo as pessoas andando.
A subida foi mais suave do que eu imaginava, como est谩vamos indo para o ponto mais alto de Capri, imaginei um telef茅rico digamos assim, um pouco mais emocionante.
Mas a altura da cadeira em rela莽茫o ao ch茫o n茫o 茅 t茫o alta, mas realmente subir ali seria um desafio.
Acredito que a trilha para subir a p茅 seja outra, talvez a mesma que descemos, que mesmo com terreno acidentado 茅 mais f谩cil.

Enquanto sub铆amos n茫o pude deixar de me sentir grato por esta oportunidade de conhecer um lugar t茫o bonito.
Lembro que olhava para todos os cantos querendo absorver o m谩ximo.
Ap贸s cerca de 15 minutos pelo telef茅rico, ou talvez um pouco mais, chegamos ao Monte Solaro e la de cima, era poss铆vel escutar os sinos da igreja l谩 de baixo. Incr铆vel!
L谩 de cima voc锚 pode ver toda a ilha, Faraghioni e praticamente toda a ilha de Capri.
Onde quer que voc锚 olhe, vistas incr铆veis lembrando que estamos em uma ilha super pequena.
Quando t铆nhamos a companhia do sol, era ainda mais incr铆vel e mesmo quando as nuvens cobriram o sol o azul do mar permanecia.
A vista l谩 de cima 茅 incr铆vel e me fez sentir como um pontinho em uma pequena ilha no meio ao oceano. Momentos de crise existential?! haha
Logo depois de chegar l谩 fomos recebidos por um nevoeiro. Sabem que eu adoro o sol e quero sempre, principalmente nas praia.
Mas tamb茅m sou um #lovetheclouds , estar entre as nuvens tem algo m谩gico mas tirou um pouco da Vista onde o nome do lugar j谩 diz muito: Monte Ensolarado.
Mas quando o Sol aparecia entre as nuvens e iluminava toda a paisagem deixava tudo mais incr铆vel ainda.
L谩 tem um jardim, esculturas e um restaurante, bom pra fazer uma pausa e tomar um caf茅 apreciando aquela atmosfera de paz e de estar nas nuvens.
Achei que jardim poderia ser melhor cuidado. Mas talvez a ideia ali seja apreciar a vista mesmo.
Encontramos a trilha para descer e esse foi o momento decisivo: vamos voltar de telef茅rico ou descer a trilha? Vai chover... Vamos pela trilha!
O que mais vamos descobrir?
A descida foi um pouco mais f谩cil do que eu esperava com o terreno n茫o t茫o acidentado deste lado como eu tinha visto enquanto subia pelo telef茅rico.
Encontramos algumas pessoas voltando, outras descendo tamb茅m e algumas cabras se protegendo da chuva.
Mas a garoa veio e transformou a trilha deixando um pouco escorregadia mas um pouco de aventuras faz bem.
Entre poucos deslizes e lama, a chuva parou. Como mencionei antes, as nuvens passam rapidamente sobre a ilha. Acho que n茫o choveu mais de 15 minutos. Chuva de ver茫o!
Logo Chegamos a uma bifurca莽茫o na estrada, vai pra onde?
A trilha at茅 o Penhascos do lado sul da ilha, e nessa altura t铆nhamos a certeza que descer a p茅 e fazer este trilho era a melhor escolha.
S贸 melhora, Cetrella tem uma vista incr铆vel e pontos panor芒mico para ver ilha e os Faraghoni.
Fiquei feliz em encontrar um banco para tirar minha foto cl谩ssica "the bench" com o banco e sua vista.
Muito legal fazer essas trilhas e ainda mais com o amigo que tamb茅m gosta sem ouvir reclama莽玫es de fazer essas trilhas na chuva. Parceiro show!
No final da trilha o ch茫o come莽a a melhorar e a descida passa a ser mais suave... logo depois asfalto e chega de volta ao centro de Anacapri. O que acham de um almo莽o?
Ap贸s a caminhada pelo Monte Solaro e um pouco de chuva eu j谩 estava pronto para um reabastecimento energ茅tico. Bora comer!
Quando passamos em frente a Casa Orlandi estava tocando MPB de qualidade, resolvemos parar l谩 e fomos recebidos em portugues por um italiano. Aquela recep莽茫o calorosa de quem conhece o brasileiro.
Come莽amos com esse vinho Selva Rosso Fappiano que foi uma 脫tima indica莽茫o.
Como prato principal, decidimos ir com carne e batatas fritas e uma massa, a Carne estava no ponto e o macarr茫o al dente. Super recomendo Casa Orlandi.
Se passar por l谩, visite e tome um vinho enquanto observe os turistas andando para todos lados. E tome uma ta莽a por mim.
Depois do almo莽o e um passeio calmo por Anacapri para visitar algumas lojas da cidade que vendem de tudo, e claro, tomar mais gelato.
Depois de explorar Anacapri era hora de voltar para Capri, dessa vez de 么nibus. As encostas durante a descida s茫o um show a parte.
Descemos do onibus no Centro de Capri e depois de um pequeno passeio por l谩, logo fomos nos preparer para viagem para Sorrento.
Achei muito charmosa essa quitanda com sua balan莽a anal贸gica e seu estilo antigo. Os aromas de frutas e especiarias que davam pra sentir da entrada da quitanda.
Realmente entendi porque Capri 茅 t茫o famosa. Que lugar lindo.
Bem, 茅 hora de dizer "arrivederci" para Capri e partir para Sorrento, onde varios planos mudaram. Mas isso 茅 uma conversa para proximo post.
