After a catwalk gunfight, I restored power to the base, discovering Russian forces holding chemical gas. During an RV escape, enemies ambushed our convoy and seized the gas truck.
With the Kremlin alerted and Alex implicated, Command contacted Captain Price in London to handle the growing international crisis.
Positioned high on the catwalk, I tossed a flashbang toward an enemy before dropping him. He wasn't alone, however, and a surrounding hostile took me down immediately.
Retrying the encounter, I located the shooter hanging from the ceiling structure above and eliminated him with a heavy volley of gunfire. With the immediate threat cleared, I reached the primary objective and turned the main power back on, illuminating the entire facility.
The restored lights revealed that the hostiles belonged to the Russian army. Recognizing the severe escalation, we wanted to pull out, but our commander insisted we should complete the mission first.
Further search of the site confirmed the presence of chemical gas. We were ordered to load up the intel and head for the forward base using captured enemy RV vehicles.
Our getaway hit a wall when hostile forces ambushed the convoy. An explosive hit destroyed one of our lead vehicles and threw ours off course. Trapped inside the wreck, my character watched as Russian soldiers surrounded us.
Upon inspecting our gear, they confirmed we were American forces rather than locals, deciding to retreat quickly while hijacking the heavy truck carrying the chemical gas.
With multiple Marines down and the gas stolen, a heated debate broke out over mission priorities and saving survivors.
Shortly after, Command reported that the Kremlin had suspended all official diplomatic channels over the incident. Pointing out that Alex's fingerprints were all over the site, Command demanded the situation be resolved immediately.
Following the call, Price received a check-in while conducting operations in London. Securing the backing of the legendary Captain Price, we prepared to transition our focus straight to London to track down the stolen threat.
