After Fichera reported the theft, we tracked the bandits to an abandoned hill farm. Luca left Enzo and Cesare to handle the outpost, where we shot our way through the camp and retrieved the stolen water pump. After surviving a second wave of ambushers, we dumped the bodies down a well.
Following Fichera's complaints about his stolen water pump, Luca pressed the old farmer for clues regarding the culprits getaway route. Fichera gestured toward the ridge, suspecting the thieves had retreated deep into the nearby hills.
We mounted their horses and followed Luca along the trail into the hills. During the ride, Luca noted that while Fichera was harmless, his big mouth would ensure news of their swift resolution spread quickly, boosting the Don's local reputation and business.
Without warning, Luca spurred his horse into a sprint. After catching up to him at the crest, we found Luca dismounted, prompting us to quickly hitch our own horses and continue the approach on foot.
The group located an, abandoned farm atop the hill, pinpointing it as the bandits hideout. Luca loaded fresh ammunition into Enzo's pistol before heading back down toward Fichera's estate, leaving Enzo and Cesare behind to wipe out the thieves and retrieve the pump.
Approaching the hideout, we spotted the area heavily guarded by armed bandits. I took the initiative by opening fire and executing an enemy guard, while Cesare synchronized his attack to take down a second bandit stationed nearby.
Advancing deeper into the bandit camp, I relied on precise headshots to conserve ammunition and break the enemy formation. Working closely alongside Cesare, we eliminated the perimeter guards and completely secured the courtyard.
Approaching to search for the stolen equipment, I discovered a repeater rifle that I equipped for myself. Searching through the dusty back rooms, we finally located Fichera's stolen water pump.
As we prepared to haul the heavy machinery outside, a fresh wave of bandit reinforcements ambushed us. Taking cover behind wooden barriers, I opened fire using my newly acquired rifle to pin down the advancing shooters.
After maintaining my position behind cover, I systematically picked off the enemies one by one until the hideout fell silent and the threat was fully neutralized.
With all the bandits dead, Cesare insisted we should dispose of the evidence before returning to Fichera. I began hoisting the bodies one by one, and started dropping them down an old well.
To be continued.
