"Living our best life" is different for us all. What would you say the three most important elements to living your best life are for you personally?
Many of us desire for a better life. But what precisely does that mean to you? When I was younger, I aspired to be famous and wealthy. Once I was in the spotlight and making a lot of money, I felt like I was the happiest person in the entire universe. But as I've gotten older, I've witnessed more about living. It is not every day that we are pampered. According to the elders, "Life is like a wheel; you are not always on top; there will be days when life will be difficult, and there will also be days when blessings will pour on you ."
Living my best life means being content with what you have. When I was still in high school, I realized that some people don't know how to be content with life. Best examples are things that can be easily upgraded such as devices, cars, and so on. I thought, why were our ancestors able to live without these things? Maybe, people nowadays are easily excited about new things which is true, I have witnessed it every day but what's good for me is that I can control myself in buying these things. New clothes? It really just depends if I need to buy something because either I can't wear anything anymore or the ones in my closet are getting too tight for me. New phone? Well, I've had extra funds several times to buy it but I'm still weighing whether I need to replace my device or not.
Second element of living my best life is to be happy. I'm at a point in my life where I don't care what other people will say. I'm fat, I'm thin, i'm white or I am tan, so what? I will also eat what I want, I drink, and I buy things even if they don't suit me. And I do this because I want to satisfy my inner child that I didn't experience when I was young. Back then, my movement was limited because I grew up in a conservative family. I am not saying that I have become a vulgar or liberated woman now, but what I mean is that I have become more open around me, which I couldn't really do before. I used to be afraid to speak because I think about what other people will say and I end up making decisions that I don't really like.
Nowadays, I realized that it is important that you choose to be happy in life because if you don't do it, you will grow old with many regrets. You will regret the things that up to you now you didn't try. Remember this, once your heart is happy, the more you become a positive and healthy person. Another thing is, you don't need to improve yourself for others, instead, prove to yourself that you are better, stronger and a fighter.
Lastly, living my best life means to be in love and feel loved. What person is going to die without even feeling it? For me, life is so beautiful when we grow old with our hearts full of love. Just to share with you, my grandparents died without settling. I witness how sad my grandpa is when he hears that his wife is dead and you know what, they haven't been able to talk and reconcile for several years. While my grandmother was here in the city with the children, my grandfather went to the province to be the caretaker of our house in the province. There he lived alone with the animals and crops. As for my grandmother in the city, her attitude has changed and she is always annoying. I witnessed how they weakened and ended up dying without talking with each other. I don't want this to happen to me so right now, I treasure the people I really love. As long as I live, I want to make them feel that I love them and at the same time, I am happy that some people can also give me the love that I want and deserve.
To sum it up, the three elements of living our best life means being contented, happy and to feel love and be loved. To be honest, as I grow older, I see myself satisfied when I am content with things that serve their purpose to help me live. I realized that I don't need much money but if God blessed us, then share it. I hope that you enjoy reading my stories above. Thank you sir @galenkp for creating this 170th writing suggestions.
