Sometimes you don't really know yourself until life puts you in a situation where you have to stand on your own and there are some things I never used to think about seriously but as I grow older, I'm beginning to understand myself better.
One thing I've learned is that life doesn't always go the way we plan it. There was a time when I thought everything was going smoothly for me and I had people around me I was doing my thing, helping people when I could and enjoying life But things changed, and I had to start looking at life from another angle.
At first, I found it difficult to accept some of the changes and I would ask myself why certain things were happening to me. Sometimes I would compare my present situation with how things used to be and honestly, that can make you feel bad but with time, I started telling myself that I can't change what has already happened and What I can change is how I respond to it.
That alone has helped me a lot,
I'm learning not to allow one bad experience to make me believe that everything in life is bad and there are still good things around me, even if I don't notice them every day. My education, my family, the people who genuinely care about me, my talents and even the small opportunities I get are things I should appreciate.
I'm also learning to be patient with myself because sometimes we put too much pressure on ourselves because we want everything to happen immediately and we want to make money, succeed, become independent and achieve our goals as quickly as possible. But life doesn't always work like that.
As a student there are days when I feel like I should already have figured everything out and then I remember that I'm still learning, I'm still making mistakes and I'm still discovering what I'm good at and what I need to improve. And honestly, that's okay.
Another thing I'm learning is that taking care of yourself is not only about physical appearance because Your mind also needs attention and sometimes you need to rest, stay away from unnecessary stress, talk to someone you trust or simply give yourself some quiet time it's very important.
There are days when I just want to sit down and listen to music and think about life. It may look like I'm doing nothing but sometimes those quiet moments help me put my thoughts together and I'm also trying to become more grateful.
It is easy to complain about what we don't have especially when we look at other people's lives and when you open social media and everybody seems to be doing well, Someone is travelling, someone just bought something new, another person is making money, and then you start wondering when your own time will come
But I've realized that everybody has their own journey of life.
My life doesn't have to look exactly like somebody else's life because I'm still growing, and I believe there is a reason for the stage I'm currently in and Maybe some of the challenges I'm facing now are teaching me things that will become useful later in my life so these days I'm trying to focus more on becoming a better version of myself instead of worrying too much about how fast other people are moving.
I still have things I want to achieve. I still have dreams and there are many things I want to do in the future and I'm not where I want to be yet, but at least I'm moving that is the fact. For me personal growth is not about becoming perfect but It's about waking up and trying again, learning from your mistakes, becoming more responsible, understanding your emotions and knowing when you need to change.
I'm still learning all these things myself
and maybe that's what growing up really means. you keep learning, you keep making mistakes, you keep trying, and little by little, you become someone you are proud of. Stay safe thanks for reading
