Favorite spots, a beautiful sky—I’ve been waiting a very long time for this shopping center to open. They’ve been building it for several years now; I’d really like to be able to go inside, have a cup of coffee or a beer, browse the shops, and catch a movie.

I remember children running around on this lawn, free porridge being served from a field kitchen, and shashlik and other tasty treats being sold nearby.

And even earlier, back in the 1990s, there used to be retail kiosks here; I would go there to buy various goods to sell—what I remember most are the Pokémon cards. Some of them are probably worth a lot of money now.

And even earlier, there was a market here, and in 1911, Sergey Utochkin flew his airplane over this spot.

How much this place remembers, and how little a person remembers. Ahead lie new events, new people, and new stories.

And I went on walking, across these yellow leaves.
