Orìsa àlara dudu - Yoruba
(The black goddess skin)
The most respectful, adoring and luscious girl
The dark in her face
There the beauty of Africa lies
Don't hesitate to embrace
When her tears melt like ice
The nation's pride
(Iyi ilu lolz, incomplete)
She was made of black and gold
Her eyes, silver and bronze
Her beauty never dim nor dark
Ever flourishing, like the garden rose
Her voice is melodious
Strong and firm enough
To pulls down mountains
And they'll fall plain to dust
Iyi laarin omidan
(The pride amongst virgins)
Her dignity, she fights to maintain
Cause she knew black is beautiful
Always working under sun and rain
Cause she wants her harvest bountiful.
