Once again I would like to quote a beautiful song and tell you what I like most about rain, sunshine, open blue sky, clouds, etc.
At the beginning of this year, when it was the peak of winter in January, we did not even get to see the the sun for multiple days, In those days everyone here dreamed of bathing in the warmth of the sun. Then from February itself, winter disappeared like the promises of leaders disappear after winning the elections. 馃槄 And frankly, within 15-20 days it started feeling as if God was punishing us.
Then for the next 6 months till about the first week of July, there was a record level of scorching heat here, at that time not only me but everyone here including the nature itself was in great need of rain. The sunshine for which we once yearning, we no longer wanted it.
Then for the last 2 weeks we enjoyed the rains a lot, but in between, dams broke, cities and villages got submerged, and people are still struggling with floods at many areas. So now we don't even need the rain we once desperately needed.
But suppose for a few more weeks, till August and September, when the same clouds will remain in the sky, clothes will not dry, and everything will feel wet all the time, then we will get irritated and again say, God, enough is enough, give us back some sunshine.
There is no right or wrong here, what we need is Balance. But after tampering with the balance of nature so much, we no longer have any right to expect balance from nature.
