«Those who know much admire themselves for few things, and those who know nothing admire themselves for everything.»

CELOS

JEALOUSY

Each stroke became a stalk of nostalgia. The painter wields the brush with disturbing emotions. The horizon murmured words of sin; hiding the sphinx that nature conceals with suspicion. The painter loved in anguish at the end.

A woman with brown hair and blue eyes stole his heart. Her words were the croaking of bewitching birds of paradise. He turned his art upside down, turning it into a gateway that dispatched excessive lust. Clearly there was no escape for those imposing hips.

But the sea, which was in love with the painter, felt jealousy and, shaking its waters, formulated its revenge. On the day the couple became engaged, a scent came from the surface of the waves. When the woman perceived it, she was enchanted, and one night from the port she wanted to know its origin.

She stared at the waters and they spoke to her, feeling a wild fear in her chest. But the daughters of the sea took her, dragging her to the depths of their kingdom. And without a trace, she never returned, leaving a heart sunk in sadness.

Since then the painter waits for her return, tracing a work, which like her beloved, will never see the light.
