Mount Rae is a beast of a mountain in Kananaskis and well over 10,000ft. Its a difficult scramble and an objective that is certainly a memorable mountain.
The views are pretty awesome among the nearby peaks and way up above Kananaskis lakes.
Its a long hike/scramble and it has a LOT of hands on all fours type of scrambling.
Some very long scree slopes on approach as well and often has snow at all times of the year in areas so its also very weather dependent.
This day out there we approached cloud base at the upper saddle, with still a lot to climb.
Some incredible views up here at cloud base.
We still had a ways to go to reach the summit, and the clouds were going to engulf us soon likely.
