It was a quiet day here in Cottonwood with very few people on the road (although I crossed paths with several hikers and mountain bikers on my trail run).
The weather has turned nice and mild with early morning chill and afternoon sunny skies. The cottonwood trees are turning a beautiful yellow which adds a nice touch of color to the landscape.
My legs felt pretty good and I was able to maintain a decent pace for around 10 km, mostly on the trails. Still my endurance is sorely lacking right now but at least I still have 3 months to get ready for my next scheduled ultramarathon up in Nevada - USATF 100 miler - which is on a nice fast loop but it hasn't been kind to me twice so far.
