We had a wonderful day up in Flagstaff with a great 4 mile hike up and around Mars Mesa where the high altitude made the day perfect for our hike.

There's still a little snow high up on the upper slopes of Humphreys Peak that towers 12,000 feet. The 7000 foot elevation meant that the temperature was comfortable and a sunny sky illuminated the beautiful tall pines.
We headed up the gentle first mile climb before turning onto the mesa road that became much steeper but we've hiked this route many times so it felt very good. Lulu was happy to run around and check out all of the new scents. I was breathing harder as we climbed the last steep climb before the dirt road leveled off and we headed back down the mountain along a narrow trail that eventually wound back to the mesa road and then back down to the start in the city park.

I was able to go out for an easy 3 mile run around the neighborhood trail with the temperature finally much more moderate.
I hope my Actifit friends had a great day and let's keep up the good work and enjoy being active.
