I know very few of you will actually see this. That's OK, but I thought I'd make a blog to let you know I'm back on steemit after 3months, and that the promise of #newsteem is the reason.
Ive actually been on steemit for almost 2yrs but got incredibly downhearted after seeing absolutely rubbish posts getting upvoted by themselves and making hundreds of dollars.
My top feed would be filled with absolute crap, simply promoted because of how much existing steem they had paid to get it there.
Well I know why I'm here and I know what I wanted from steemit. Unfortunately this isn't where steemit was, and it definitely wasn't where steemit was headed.
I know I'll never make it rich through steemit, my niche posts don't draw the big crowds and I don't have much interest in what the platform wants to read.
But what I do want is a level playing field where posts are rewarded on their own merit.
So I hope #HF21 lives up to what I think it could become. I can tell you this, it got my back posting again.
