I think maybe my suggestion seems to complicated.
So instead of accumulating / stacking votes why not look for an easier solution.
It's not necessary to change anyting at the current vote system - just let everybody vote for his 30 witnesses and if he use all his 30 witness votes every witness get the same Hivepower or MVest like now.
Just add a factor for the people who don't use their votes completely.
So f.e.:
- if a user vote only for 15 witnesses his votes get the factor 2 for calculating the Hivepower or MVest
- if a user vote only for 10 witnesses his votes get the factor 3 for calculating the Hivepower or MVest
- If a user vote for 20 witnesses his votes get the factor 1.5 for calculating the Hivepower or MVest
Nobody must change something at his witness votes, we take not away votes, we don't accumulate or stack votes manuel, we just add a factor for this user who used not all 30 votes to give them they same weight in the election than the user who used all 30 votes.
I am really very curious about your opinion and hope that I get more replies and in best case a open discussion.
